Beginning in PreK 3, for students who have turned 3 years old by September 1st the year they would attend, our PreKindergarten students embrace a healthy curiosity about life and become proactive participants in the learning process through an integrated curriculum, center-oriented classrooms and “hands-on, minds-on” activities.
After the current 2025-26 school year, Parish is updating its PreK programming to better serve our three- and four-year-olds in engaging and age-appropriate curriculum and daily, classroom transitions. We are pleased to announce that beginning in August 2026 for PreK 3 and August 2027 for PreK 4, Parish’s PreK programming will be a full-day option only that will allow your child to enjoy more classroom programming designed around core curriculum – math, science, literacy – as well as fine motor skills and social, emotional and cognitive benchmarks. Likewise, children will have exposure to consistent enrichment opportunities to help them grow as young learners
As we make this important transition to full-day programming, rising PreK 4 families will have a one-year grace period for half-day options, or may opt-in to our full-day option from the onset of the 2026-27 school year. For the PreK 4 half-day option, students may enroll in any number of afternoons, thereby offering parents options for either half or full day PreK. The afternoon programs are fully integrated with the morning curriculum and utilize the same faculty for a seamless full day for those PreK 4 families who select it.
