Parish begins with PreK 3. Your child must be 3 by September 1 of the year they would attend to apply for admission. Please note, your child must be fully potty trained to start at Parish.

Applications open in early September, and are due in early January. Supplemental documents, including student transcripts, recommendation letters and test scores are due in late January. Each grade level requires applicants to attend an interview or observation, conducted in late January or early February. Admission decisions are released mid-March. Exact dates and details regarding specific grade-level requirements can be found here.

Applications are due January 9, 2026.

• PreK 3 and PreK 4 will have a one on one observation and testing during required campus visit
• Kindergarten and 1^st take the CATS, Collaborative Academic Testing Service
• 2^nd-11^th grades take the ISEE, Independent School Entrance Exam

Students applying to Middle and Upper School are individually interviewed. Parents are interviewed for all applications to Lower School.

Yes, letters of recommendation are required from a current teacher for PreK 3- 4^th grade. For 5^th-12^th grade two letters of recommendation are required, one from a current English teacher and one from a current Math teacher. If you would like to submit additional letters of recommendation from coaches, scout leaders, previous teachers, etc. they will be accepted and added to the student’s admission file.

We have wait pools at almost every grade level. The pool is not ranked – we fill the opening based on the need of the school. Openings may be available anytime during the spring or summer.

At this time, Parish will not be participating in the Texas Education Freedom Account (TEFA) for the 2026-27 school year. If at any point, Parish decides to participate in TEFA, the School will notify its current families as well as its applicant community. Parish does, however, offer a robust, need-based tuition assistance program, allocating more than $5.1 million annually to enrolled families who qualify. Visit Affording Parish to learn more: parish.org/admission/tuition-assistance

Each student enrolled at Parish Episcopal School shall be immunized against vaccine preventable infectious diseases in accordance with the most current immunization schedule adopted by the Texas Department of State Health Services.  Medical exemptions will be accepted by having an original written medical exemption from immunizations from a licensed U.S. physician (board certified allergist, immunologist, hematologist or oncologist) which is dated within one year from the date signed by the physician (unless it indicates a lifelong exemption).  Parish no longer accepts Affidavits for Immunization Exemption for Reasons of Conscience.  Each student must have a current immunization record on file.
