Parish offers a PreK 3 grade level.  This grade level is for students who have turned 3 years old by September 1st the year they would attend.  Both our PreK 3 and PreK 4 (for students who have turned 4 by September 1st) are required to attend school 5 days a week from 8:00 am – 11:45 am, but have the option of staying until 3:00 pm 0-5 days.
 

We have wait pools at almost every grade level.  This year, we had 75 students in the wait pool for 9th grade.  The pool is not prioritized – if we get an opening, we fill the opening based on need of the class (gender, special skill, etc.).

Letters of recommendation are required from a current teacher for PreK 3- 4^th grade. For 5^th-11^th grade two letters of recommendation are required, one from a current English teacher and one from a current Math teacher. If you would like to submit additional letters of recommendation from coaches, scout leaders, previous teachers, etc. they will be accepted and added to the student’s admission file.

• PreK 3 and PreK 4 will have a one on one observation and testing
• Kindergarten takes the CATS test
• 1^st takes the CATS and ISAAD tests
• 2^nd-11^th grades take the ISEE exam

Each student enrolled at Parish Episcopal School shall be immunized against vaccine preventable infectious diseases in accordance with the most current immunization schedule adopted by the Texas Department of State Health Services.  Medical exemptions will be accepted by having an original written medical exemption from immunizations from a licensed U.S. physician (board certified allergist, immunologist, hematologist or oncologist) which is dated within one year from the date signed by the physician (unless it indicates a lifelong exemption).  Parish no longer accepts Affidavits for Immunization Exemption for Reasons of Conscience.  Each student must have a current immunization record on file. Applications are live online in early September, and are due in early January. Supplemental documents, including student transcripts, recommendation letters and test scores are due in late January. Each grade level requires applicants to attend an interview or observation, conducted in late January or early February. Admission decisions are available mid-March. Exact dates and details regarding specific grade-level requirements can be found on Parish’s Admission webpage.

Parish begins with PreK 3. Your child must be 3 by September 1 of the year they would attend to apply for admission. Please note, your child must be fully potty trained to start at Parish.

Applications are due January 10, 2025.

There are varying application requirements for each grade level.  All applicants are required to submit the application, application fee, parent questionnaire, progress reports/transcripts from the current school year as well as the previous two school years, and admission test. 

The below requirements are specific to each grade in addition to the above steps:

• PreK 3 and PreK 4: teacher evaluation form and Observation Visit
• Kindergarten: teacher evaluation form, Observation Visit and CATS testing
• Primer and 1^st grade: teacher evaluation form, Student Visit and both CATS & ISAAD testing
•  2^nd – 4^th grades: teacher evaluation form and Student Visit
• 5^th – 11^th grades: Student Questionnaire, Math Teacher Evaluation form, English Teacher Evaluation Form and Student Visit/Interview

Each grade level requires an achievement-based test at each grade level. 

• PreK 3 and PreK 4 applicants participate in their test during the Observation Visit at Parish.
• Kindergarten applicants participate in their test during the Observation Visit at Parish, and are required to take the CATS test.
• 1^st grade applicants are required to take the CATS and ISAAD tests.
• 2^nd-11^th grade students are required to take the ISEE exam.

Students in middle and upper school are individually interviewed during their shadow visit.
