ParishEXTEND Athletic Academy is a partnership between Athletics and ParishEXTEND with a common goal to offer a comprehensive catalog of sports specific program opportunities dedicated to developing Parish's young athletes.
Participants of these programs are trained according to Parish’s coaching philosophies and methods which will prepare them for participation in junior varsity and varsity athletics. Opportunities vary by sport and age group but may include weekly classes, private team coaching, skills and coaching clinics, tournaments and more.
We will continue to expand the Athletic Academy as we work with our coaches and community to identify the needs of our young athletes.

In an effort to create a premium and seamless athletic experience for all students, ParishEXTEND offers athletic skills development classes. Our goal is to teach and develop the skills of Parish's young players in order to better prepare them for future play.

One on one coaching and small group coaching will provide players with individualized attention to the basic fundamentals of hitting, pitching, throwing and fielding. Coaches will be able to devote a great deal of time and energy on developing skills of the individuals that are often missed in team coaching. Sessions can also be tailored to improve specific positional skills, team elements and mental skills training.

Chase Cherry played at Caddo Mills HS and was an All-District infielder for 3 years. He signed to play at Northwood University after high school. Chase graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Texas A&M – Commerce. He has 5 years of coaching experience with multiple teams and currently does lessons at D-BAT Addison.
Drew Clementz coached Parish Middle School Baseball for 3 seasons and won two TAPS Championships during that time. Those players’ success led to the Varsity run to State Playoffs in 2016. Drew also coaches with Canes Baseball at the High School level. His teams have featured several Division 1 college commitments and tournament championships. Drew has given private instruction since 2009.

Paul Tidmore's coaching experience began when working at summer sports camps while a Division I track athlete at Baylor University. He joined the Parish baseball coaching staff in 2013 and has worked with the Middle School and Upper School programs during that time, most recently as an assistant with the JV and Varsity teams. Other baseball coaching experience includes coaching with the Dallas Mustangs, D-BAT Mustangs, Texas Desperadoes, local youth leagues and multiple independent select teams as both head and assistant coach. Additionally, Paul has worked individually with all ages of players from beginning youth to collegiate athletes on a wide range of baseball skills, fitness conditioning, speed and agility development.

Ahmad Ajami, Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach and Parish Assistant Athletic Director, is thrilled to lead the Basketball Skills session this fall. Ahmad Ajami's coaching experience began in 1997, when he started working as the Athletic Director as well as Head Basketball and Assistant Football Coach at All Saints Episcopal School in Ft. Worth, Texas. In 2006, Ahmad made the jump to the National Basketball Association (NBA) as an assistant video scout with the Los Angeles Clippers. After one year, Ahmad moved on to the Orlando Magic where he was an assistant coach under Stan Van Gundy for five seasons. While in Orlando, Ahmad’s highlights included: making the playoffs five straight years; two Eastern Conference Finals; a trip to the NBA Finals in 2009 where they were defeated in five games by a Kobe Bryant-led Los Angeles Lakers team; and coaching NBA greats Lebron James, Dwayne Wade and Kevin Garnett in the 2010 NBA All-Star Game.
In 2012, Ahmad joined the Texas Legends (Dallas Mavericks Developmental Team) as the lead assistant coach for former Dallas Mavericks’ player Eddie Najera. Ahmad holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Texas Christian University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix.
Coach Ross King comes to Parish with a very strong basketball background both as a player and as a coach. From Jacksboro, Texas, Coach King has excelled on the court from the high school level to the professional level. Having a strong career at Jacksboro High School, Ross received the opportunity to play collegiately at Ranger College. After his time at Ranger, he decided to pursue his dreams of playing basketball professionally. He was fortunate enough to fulfill that dream by playing in the UBA and ABA leagues as well as the VBL and Drew League over a span of seven years.
Despite having to end his career due to an injury, Coach King took his love for the game and started coaching youth basketball. Over the course of the last four years, he has been instrumental in the Triumph AAU organization and has coached at area independent schools including St. John’s and Parish.

Pat DeBolt has five years of Division I coaching experience including a National Championship with the Duke Blue Devils. He has worked with some of the best players in the world and coached alongside the top coaches in the game including Coach Tierney from Hofstra University, Coach Myers from The Ohio State University and Coach Danowski from Duke University. Coach DeBolt has extensive experience working with the top select lacrosse programs around the country and is bringing his knowledge and expertise to Parish. Coach Rainey Hodgson, a New York native, has coached lacrosse for the past ten years and has done so at the highest level. In 2016-2018 she coached Division 1 collegiate lacrosse at Coastal Carolina University and at The Ohio State University, her alma mater. Coach Hodgson played at Ohio State, where she received her bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy. As a player she was ranked third in the Big Ten for points per game and second in assists per game as well as she recorded 119 career points, tying for (eighth all-time at Ohio State. She has also made two NCAA tournament appearances and a Big Ten Championship Game.
Coach Hodgson also coaches for 214 Lacrosse Club, and started the program at Lovejoy High School when first moving to Texas a few years ago. She coached the Under Armour All American Team as well as Team North Texas where she took players from all over the state and Southwest region to compete on the east coast against the best players in the nation.

Kevin Rock is a native of Trinidad and Tobago and played on multiple youth national teams and select travel teams. Before Parish he served as the Middle School Soccer Coach for Alapattah Middle School in Miami and the Middle and Elementary Soccer Coach at Fellowship Christian Academy in Dallas. He is currently the Middle School coach at Parish and teaches 7th grade science and assists with 5th – 6th grade Robotics. Since coming to Parish Coach Rock's Middle School teams have consistently made the playoffs and won their first Championship in 2016.
Edgar Sanchez is a native of Mexico and grew up playing on multiple select club teams. Before Parish he served as the coach to Irving United U17 girls’ team and Hurst United Select team U11 and U15 boys’ teams. During his time at Parish, Coach Sanchez has worked with both the boys and girls Middle School soccer teams. He has also been heavily involved with the PARISHkicks program in coaching skills classes and clinics for 3rd through 8th grade students.
Scout Starrett has played soccer for 15 years including varsity soccer for four years at Parish. In 2014 he signed to play with Marymount California University where his team finished 3rd in the nation during his first season. Career highlights include two years playing on the USSF U16 and U18 Academy Teams, training in London with the Tottenham Hotspur youth team, and filming commercials for the largest soccer retailer in the United States, soccer.com and Kwikgoal. Scout started coaching in 2015 and is serving as the Parish Varsity and JV goalkeeper coach for boys and girls in addition to coaching the first grade boys' PARISHkicks team.
Sydnie Schindler has played for 20 years, including 15 years in Elite Clubs National League with the Dallas Texans, 4 years playing for Rhodes College in Memphis and 3 months in Barcelona, Spain. Sydnie is currently attending the University of Texas at Dallas where she is getting her masters in speech-language pathology.
PARISHkicks offers private and semi-private lessons for soccer players of all ages. All lessons take place on the Parish Midway campus.

Trainers will be able to devote a great deal of time and energy on developing skills of the individuals that are often missed in team coaching. Sessions can also be tailored to improve technique, flexibility, speed, agility and power with and without the ball.

In spring 2021 Coach Fletcher will begin her 1st season as Head Varsity Softball Coach. Coach Fletcher has been involved in softball for more than 50 years as a player, coach and umpire, 30 of which were spent coaching in Texas. She founded a top-of-the-line select team, Red River Sting, and had four top four finishes at various national tournaments. All 12 players from Red River Sting continued their softball career at the college level while completing their college education. In addition, Coach Fletcher started the Austin College program building it from scratch in 2005 and competed for a conference title in the second year of the program, losing to the nationally ranked number two team, DePauw University.
Coach Fletcher has coached numerous district, regional, conference, NCAA Regional and NCAA All American players and still has the record for the most wins as a coach at Austin College. Coach Fletcher focuses on the development of the mental aspect of sports, education and career as well as the physical aspects of her sport. She believes that sports are the spring board for a successful career as an adult and that a coachable player makes an employable adult.

Coach Cummings is the Head Coach for Middle School Track and Field. Prior to taking over the program, Coach Cummings was also Parish’s middle school football coach for 15 years. Coach Cummings grew up in the Dallas area, attending Lake Highlands High School. He received his BA in Telecommunications from Texas Tech University.

Coach David Huynh was born and raised in San Diego and relocated to Dallas in his early teens. He attended the University of Texas at Dallas and graduated with a degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with minor in History. With over 20 years in the sport of volleyball, coach Huynh played intramural leagues with collegiate players and in USAV tournaments. He is also a coach at Skyline Volleyball Club in Plano. He has been coaching club ball for over 12 years and has taken his team to Nationals numerous years. In 2019, his 11s team made third overall at Nationals and his first year at Parish he helped lead Parish varsity volleyball team to their first undefeated TAPPS 6A district championship in school history.
He is married to Snow and has two beautiful daughters, Trinidy '22 and Dakota '27. Outside of the sport of volleyball, coach Huynh enjoys fishing, traveling and shoe shopping.
