Coaches
Head Coach: Ahmad Ajami aajami@parish.org
Coach Ajami’s coaching career began in 1998 when he took over as the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at All Saints’ Episcopal School in Fort Worth. In 2006, after eight years at All Saints where he also served as Athletic Director, Coach Ajami joined Mike Dunleavy’s staff with the Los Angeles Clippers. After a season in LA, in 2007 Coach Ajami was hired by the Orlando Magic and new Head Coach Stan Van Gundy. In Coach Ajami’s five years with the Magic, the team went to the Eastern Conference Finals twice (2009, 2010), the NBA Finals in 2009, and were named the coaching staff for the East All-Stars in the NBA All Star Game in 2010 in Dallas.
In 2012, Coach Ajami moved back to DFW area and joined Eddie Najera’s staff on the Texas Legends, the Dallas Mavericks G-League affiliate. He spent the next 2 seasons with the Legends before moving to Ohio.
Coach Ajami spent 2015-2017 working for Dan Evans and the Ohio Dominican University Men’s Basketball program. Before ultimately moving back to Dallas in 2018 to join the Parish community and athletic department as Assistant Athletic Director. Coach Ajami was named the Head of the Boys Basketball Program in 2020.
Coach Ajami grew up in Fort Worth and attended Fort Worth Country Day (Class of ‘95). After an injury ended his college football career in 1997, Coach Ajami transferred from Boston University to TCU where he graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology. Coach Ajami also earned a Master’s in Business in 2000. He and his wife Shannon, live in Dallas and have three kids, Graham, Gracie and Grayson.
