Coach Marylyn Toledo is a Parish alum (Class of 2010) and was part of four TAPPS State Championship teams at Parish and won eight individual state titles. She also swam with the Dallas Mustangs where she was a USA Swimming Senior National and Junior National finalist and USA Swimming Scholastic All-American. Coach Toledo went on to swim at the University of Texas at Austin (Class of 2014) and was part of two Big-12 Championship teams. She was also named to the All-Academic Big-12 First Team, Big-12 Commissioner's Honor Roll, and the University of Texas Athletic Director's Honor Roll. Coach Toledo competed at the 2012 US Olympic Trials in the 100m Butterfly.
Her coaching career started at age 15 as a swim instructor with the Royal Oaks Country Club swim team, where she coached for seven consecutive summers. She started coaching Masters Swimming with Dallas Aquatic Masters and later Pegasus Aquatics in 2016. She was also the assistant varsity swim coach at The Hockaday School for three seasons, winning the SPC Team Championship in 2022 and SPC Team runner up in 2020. In addition to coaching part-time, Coach Toledo works full-time in digital advertising at Media IQ. Coach Toledo is so excited to return home to her alma mater as the head coach at Parish Episcopal!
