Head Coach: Rae Brown
Coach Rae Brown is from Little Rock, AR, where she was a five-star high school athlete at Parkview High School, and was fortunate to win three state titles during her time. She had offers from all around the country but ultimately decided to join the Big 12 by way of the University of Missouri, compassionately known as MIZZOU. She played her entire four-year career at Mizzou, graduating with a bachelor’s in environmental sciences with emphasis on Exercise and Nutritional Fitness. She finished her career as the All-Time steals’ leader in Mizzou history, Top 10 in steals in Big 12 history, Top 5 in All-Time assist in Mizzou history, while compiling more than 1200 points and finishing in the top 30 All-Time scorers in Mizzou history. She pursued a short career as a professional basketball player before deciding to turn to the coaching ranks.
Coach Brown spent six years at Mizzou under Robin Pingeton, including four as an Assistant Coach, developing and nurturing some of the nation’s top talent coming out of high school. Coach Brown experienced much success at Mizzou during her tenure, including seeing seven young women turn pro, three being drafted to the WNBA. Moving forward in her career, in 2016 she joined the SMU coaching staff. In 2021, Coach Brown decided to make the transition out of college coaching in light of becoming a new mom.
She joined Parish Episcopal School as a PE Teacher and Head Girls’ Basketball Coach in fall of 2023.
