Two Parish students unite in their passion for the arts during junior service project.
Parish Episcopal School juniors Abbey Swartzwelder and Grant Gilker share a mutual love for the arts and serving others, so they happily took on the challenge of organizing Parish Family Performs, an annual Broadway revue that brings together faculty, staff, alumni and parents through song and dance. The students produced and directed the show for their junior service project. Proceeds from the show benefitted Big Thought, a nonprofit organization that closes the opportunity gap by making imagination a part of everyday learning. The juniors raised thousands of dollars for their charity and gained some valuable lessons in the process. Learn more in this My Parish Moment.
