Boys' lacrosse faces top ranked divisional opponents, girls' lacrosse celebrates their seniors in a ceremony as they push through their divisional competition. 

Lacrosse Boys
Parish Varsity Boys’ Lacrosse played on April 16 and 18, against the number two and number one rated D2 teams in the state, Lovejoy and Prosper. Parish held a lead through three quarters against divisional rival Lovejoy, but could not hold onto an 8-6 lead going into the fourth quarter eventually losing 11-8.  Prosper scored early and often last Thursday night, limiting Parish’s chances through their faceoff wins and possession advantage.  Last year’s runner up state champion dominated the game winning 19-3. The Panthers are now 5-3 on their divisional season.

Lacrosse Girls
On April 15, Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse played Bridge for a second time this season and lost 10-8.  Parish got up by five goals in the first half, but was unable to maintain momentum. This was the senior game where Parish celebrated Panther Girls’ Lacrosse seniors. Kate Kelley ’19 led the team in scoring with a hat trick in the first half. Katie Palmer ’21 scored twice and Sophie Kate Guillory ‘20, Marley Evans ‘19, and Ella Chapman ‘20 added one a piece. Shayna Daniel ’19 had an amazing game with nine ground balls, three draw controls, and four caused turnovers. Keirra Vinson ‘19 had 14 saves in goal.  

On April 18, Parish played the number two ranked team Southlake and lost 15-1. Guillory had our lone goal. Vinson had five incredible saves in goal. The girls then played Grapevine the same night and won 13-4. Six different players scored, including the freshmen players Lilly Wallace ’22 and Peyton Plumlee ‘22. In addition, Julia Wilfong ’21 had one goal, Palmer had three, Kelley had two, and S. Daniel led the team with five goals. Guillory and Julia Griffin ’19 played amazing defensive games. Vinson had 10 saves in goal.
